Making the technical understandable
Video strategy that translates novel science into clear, credible content; turning investors, partners and users into experts.
You’ve built the technology.
We help you explain why it matters.
Trusted by:
You’ve built a technology and you know it works.
You have the data to back it up, but investors don’t believe it and users don’t understand it.
You have the research and the IP, but that communication gap is holding your business back from scaling. Running a growing business means you have 3,000 things to do; and marketing is always the one that falls to the bottom.
You know that video is a powerful tool to connect people to your technology, and recognise you should be doing more of it. And when you do manage to fit it in, you end up with a handful of videos that each made sense at the time but don't join up, don't build on each other, and don't move the business forward in any clear direction.
You need a strategy
Work with a team already fluent in the scientific details.
Not an agency that needs briefing from scratch every time.
We understand the IP sensitivity, the fundraising pressure, and the importance of audience-specific communication. We blend learning design, visual storytelling and two decades of scientific and technical communication experience; creating video strategies and content that connects you with the investors, customers and partners that help you scale.
How we help your business scale…
A video strategy
built around your actual business priorities for the year, not a project-by-project reaction to whatever comes up next.
A partnership
that can grow as your company evolves through funding rounds, pivots and new markets.
Content
that works across fundraising, partner conversations and market awareness, rather than one-off videos that don't connect.
Experience
Two decades of it, coaching scientists, engineers and founders to communicate complex ideas on camera, with confidence.
Neo4j
Ageing developer learning content. Increasing retention and conversion
Neo4j needed to reach and educate software developers about their graph database technology in a way that felt credible and genuinely useful. Developer audiences are among the most skeptical and hardest to reach.
We produced a series of developer-facing learning and content videos, blending educational rigour with engaging visuals.
81,000 views across the series. Content the developer relations team could use across community, conference and online channels.
“Fantastic team to work with: professional, creative and genuinely kind people. They handled our video shoot and post-production flawlessly, even for technically advanced topics. Highly recommended for anyone needing quality production with real technical understanding!”
Alexander Erdl , Senior Marketing Lead, Neo4j
Case studies
Neo4j - Developer Learning Content
Problem: Neo4j needed to reach and educate software developers about their graph database technology in a way that felt credible and genuinely useful, not like a marketing push. Developer audiences are among the most skeptical and hardest to reach.
Solution: We produced a series of developer-facing learning and content videos, designed with the audience's needs and comprehension level at the centre, blending educational rigour with engaging visuals.
Result:
University of Bath - Spin-out Stories
Problem: Each company had novel, technically complex technology and needed to communicate what they did, and why it mattered, to potential customers, investors and partners who were not scientists.
Solution: A case-study video series for each spin-out, built to showcase the technology, the founders story and the commercial application in language their audiences could understand and trust.
Result: High-quality brand assets each company now uses across their website, investor materials and partner conversations. The incubator used the series to secure additional funding by evidencing its impact on the local business community.
MRC Toxicology Unit, University of Cambridge - Research Explainers
Problem: The MRC Toxicology Unit needed to communicate their research to potential investors, raise the profiles of its academics and make complex microbiological science accessible.
Solution: We produced a video series that translated scientific research into content a non-specialist audience could understand, while keeping the academic rigour intact.
Result: 12,000 views across four videos. The series helped the unit meet its public sector dissemination obligations and raised the profiles of the research team and their work.
Book a DeepTech Video Strategy Session
This is a 45-minute working conversation, not a pitch. We will look at where your communications are right now, what you are trying to achieve in the next six to twelve months, and where a clear video strategy could do the most work for you. You will leave with a sharper sense of what content you actually need and in what order, whether or not we end up working together.
Identifying the communications problems that are stalling growth, and which ones video can solve for you right now.
Reviewing what content you already have - what is working, what is not, and why.
Specific ideas for the formats and channels that support fundraising, customer acquisition and brand credibility.
No obligation, no sales pressure. If it is not a fit, we will say so and point you somewhere more useful.
